TESTIMONIALS

Before Potter's House, I was the manager of Eastergate Preschool working alongside Mrs Pallett. Here is what some of our previous parents had to say:

"Sally-Ann Barker, well well well. ;). I've seen her on a daily basis for a long time now with our older children sharing the same primary school and my son going to preschool with her. I feel I've gotten to know her very well. She has such a great understanding of children's needs and their thought process; it's truly amazing. She has a great connection to children and all children just love her, (I think as she's a little crazy at times lol).

It's truly a pleasure for me to drop my son off to her in the mornings as I just know he's going to have a fantastic day (and so does he?) Simply a good/ caring/ honest/ fun person where I know my child's safety comes first! And that's all I could ever ask for really!

ROSIE | BARNHAM

My son is sensitive to changes/ new environments so it took him a long time to settle but Sally-Ann's patience and care to help my son settle has been brilliant. She is always available for a chat at the start/ end of a session which helps you to feel at ease and to be able to discuss anything. My son is now confident to go into preschool and he enjoys telling me what he has been up to. I would recommend this provision to other parents.

JO | EASTERGATE

"My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting at Eastergate Preschool, from his confidence to writing his own name! He LOVES to go to school each morning! In 4 months I've seen a bigger change in him than in 15 months with his previous care provider. Amazing job!! I cannot recommend Mrs Barker and Mrs Pallett enough! My son is happy and thriving under their care! We will most definitely be looking for a place at Potter's House when it's the babies turn! :)"

TANIA | WESTERGATE

"Sally-Ann has been so supportive and reassuring to my grandson and to us as a family at a time when he had experienced a lot of big changes in his life. Her warmth and empathy have helped him to feel safe, loved and valued as an individual and has enabled him to grow in confidence. He always smiles and is happy to go to preschool and enjoys telling Sally-Ann and Mrs Pallett about what he's been doing and looking forward to. We would be lost without Sally-Ann's positive role in his preschool days."

Sally-Ann

Potter

Sally-Ann Barker. I am the owner and Manager of Potter's House Preschool. I live with my three children in Felpham. I have had over 15 years experience in caring for children and studying their development. I am fascinated by the way their brains work and the reasons behind the way they develop. I love that I am continually learning through these tiny little people and have the opportunity to assist them with their natural development and teach them lifelong skills. My passion is in transition and ensuring that they are fully equipped and ready for starting school.

I have an NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, diplomas in Performing Arts, Child and Adolescent Counselling and Advanced Special Educational Needs. I am also trained in Advanced Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and Behaviour Management. I have recently completed with a distinction a diploma in Play Therapy which is a fairly new form of counselling children with anxieties. I am Level 3 Forest School trained and love developing the preschool to offer Forest School sessions. I have written articles for various magazines about child development - the most recent is due to come out in November 2020 with ABC Magazine.

Potter's House Preschool has been my dream for as long as I can remember and I am so blessed and grateful to have been able to start it. I am fully invested in the development of our precious little people.
